For those that picked up a Saiga 12
I know quite a few of us have picked up Saiga 12s lately and the 10 round magazines are hard to come by.
I just picked up 2 of these 10 rounders here: http://www.saiga-12.com/proddetail.a...%2DCLEAR%2DMAG http://www.saiga-12.com/prodimages/A...CLEAR-MAGS.gif There were 4 left in stock after I bought mine. I would rather a GIM member get them if you guys need them. |

Makc added some more! SAIGA-12 CLEAR 10-round Magazine:
In Stock: 52 |
Re: For those that picked up a Saiga 12
While these are still great mags, AGP says they are not as strong as the black ones. You have to decide if clear is better than stronger.

Re: For those that picked up a Saiga 12
Saw a Saiga 20 at the gun shop yesterday. If it was the 12 I would have come home with it. Felt solid and sweet. The 20 was priced at 599

The only mod I would do is put a skelton stock on the back...... Pistol grip looks cool but it is NOT ideal. Depending on the shells you are using(slugs) you can knock yourself clean out.

Re: For those that picked up a Saiga 12
If you plan on using anything higher than the standard five round capacity magazine provided with the shotgun (or ten round with the rifles), you may want to do a little research into 922r compliance. The feds may take a dim view of using what they may consider non-sporting magazines in an unmodified weapon. Check out the Siaga12.com forum re this issue. I hope this may help.

Re: For those that picked up a Saiga 12
Just make sure when you go to the range factory Mags are in there.(Keep the Good stuff at home or in the back pocket when no ones looking)
Which leads me to another question: Has ATF ever "raided" a gun range and started to check firearms for complience?? Anybody heard of such a thing happening recently??? T |

Re: For those that picked up a Saiga 12
I know what you mean.......
When I get a couple of bucks I just may order one and see it I can pull it off. Or What you go do is run to the nearest Gunshop/smith and have them install if for you.... It wont be much maybe 20 bucks if that. T |

TA asked: "Which leads me to another question: Has ATF ever "raided" a gun range and started to check firearms for compliance?? Anybody heard of such a thing happening recently???"
I think if you do some research, you are correct in your beliefs, it just does not happen (yet). It will be an add on charge or THE CHARGE if you do something that is unjustified or justified in that order. Keep your ducks in a row and you will have no problems. If you replace the stock with an American made unit, that alone will reduce your foreign parts number by one. So I believe that if you are going to purchase a new stock BUY AMERICAN. It can only help to get to that magic number that offers compliance, it also keeps the $$$ here at home. Another point, not to be critical but if "you" (that is a you to all out there) own a Saiga, working on it, is almost part of the mystique of ownership. Get over it, get to know it, and how it works. There are enough references, videos, and information at Saiga12.com you can do just about anything to them yourself. Who knows, you may become the next prophecy over there with some new alteration that has yet to be done. |

He told me point blank he may have about 22 in stock I told him no one else seems to have them Thats right, he said, because they are tied up at the docks pending approval. That Russia and American stand off has not been fully hashed out yet. His particular shipment somehow "slipped through the cracks" before the hammer fell. The staff there are busting out 14-17 hours days packing and shipping. Said he has NEVER seen anything close to this is all his years. T |

I think he said they have a few but they are customized so that are in the 7-800 dollar range (Muzzle brake change, extra high cap mags and stuff) I still think they are good deal If I was in market I would scoop one up pronto. The Russian situation is not going to fix itself anytime soon. So the present inventory is drying up like water on hot pavement. T |
